Question 1: Describe the lesion.

Throughout the left ventricular myocardium there are multifocal to coalescing, irregularly shaped but often linear streaks of well-defined areas of pallor.

Question 2: What is the cause of this lesion?

Vitamin E and/or selenium deficiency (white muscle disease), leading to free radical damage

Question 3: What type of mineralization does this represent?

Dystrophic.
