Question 1: Describe the lesion (orange pin).

Within the myocardium of the left ventricle, there is a well demarcated, irregular, roughly 1 cm in largest diameter area of that is yellow-tan that is surrounded by a rim of pale-white tissue.

Question 2: What type of necrosis is shown here?

Coagulative

Question 3: What is one potential cause?

Ischemia is the best answer here. Many things can cause ischemic necrosis, including thrombi.
