Liver from a dog

Question 1: Describe the lesion.

Throughout all lobes of the liver, there are multifocal to coalescing, variably sized nodules that are similar in colour and consistency to the adjacent, normal hepatic parenchyma.

Question 2: What adaptive change is illustrated here?

Hyperplasia

Question 3: What is your morphological diagnosis?

Liver: multifocal to coalescing nodular hyperplasia, chronic, severe.
